The five papers which make up this collection examine the experiences of the Malayan population under the Japanese Occupation between early 1942 and August 1945. Abu Talib Ahmad discusses relations between the Japanese and the Malay/Muslim population, while Yoji Akashi and Hara Fujio consider the Chinese population.
